What should I consider before connecting my property to the DiBooq Channel Manager?
Please watch the video before syncing your portals.
Before connecting your property to the DiBooq Channel Manager, you should create all existing reservations and blocked periods in your DiBooq calendar that were not received through Airbnb, Booking.com, or Vrbo. This is the only way to ensure that your availability is synchronized correctly and that no double bookings occur.
Why is this important?
Once you have connected the DiBooq Channel Manager to Airbnb, Booking.com, or Vrbo via API, you can remove any blocked periods that were manually created on those platforms. This is the standard way a vacation rental Channel Manager works: Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo treat the Channel Manager as the central source of availability. Therefore, the data stored in the Channel Manager is synchronized with the booking portals and may replace existing manual blocks.
Before connecting, make sure that the following periods are already entered in your DiBooq calendar:
-
Reservations that were not received through Airbnb, Booking.com, or Vrbo
-
Periods when the property is used by the owner
-
Maintenance or renovation periods
-
Any periods during which the property should not be available for booking
Important: Existing blocked periods in the booking portals may be lost during synchronization. Therefore, make sure to create them in DiBooq before connecting your booking portals.
How to create a reservation or blocked period
-
Open the Calendar section.
-
Click on the desired period.
-
Select “Reservation” or “Unavailable”.
-
Enter the reservation details and note in the “Note” field through which channel the reservation was received.
